A few years ago I purchased an .36 1861 Navy and was led to believe it was a Colt second generation black powder pistol and had no reason to question the validity of the sellers assertion. However I am now in the process of selling the pistol (posted on Gunsamerica) and am convinced that it is a repro not of Colt manufacture. It is an extremely well made repro, however the trigger/backstrap is not the correct brass but rather a silver like metal...any assistance identifying the manufacturer would be appreciated...I don't want to mislead any potential buyers..thanks
