If lubing is a good and simple safety measure, fine. But it is a mess and if there is a ring of lead shaved off when the ball is pressed, I struggle to understand how the flame can get in to the powder from the front. I buy balls, Hornady so far, and they are very well made. They always shave a ring off. Won't this tight seal be enough? And thanks for the answer.
