Posted by Jody on 3/20/2002, 1:36 pm I am so sick of reading interviews with ungrateful Canadian actors who are living in LA, but can't do anything but put the place down. First off, I don't think it is at all smart to put down a city and a country that you are living in and trying to make a living in. Anyway, the actors that I am refering to are Nick Lea and Molly Parker. They are friends and apparently spend all of their free time putting this country down. In seperate interviews they have both said how much they hate living here and want to go back to Vancouver and Toronto. They say they can't though because they can't afford to live off the amount of money their Canadian roles pay. Molly admits to living in Echo Park, an upscale neighborhood in LA and admits that the reason she is able to live in this manner is because of the roles she has been given in US productions. Both of them say in these interviews that they don't socialize with Americans, prefering to stick with their fellow Canadian actors who also live in the US. Snobs!!! No wonder they don't get many roles here. Nick hasn't worked in Six months!!!! These aren't very bright people. Not once do either of them thank anyone for the opportunities that were given to them in this country. I wish casting directors would see those interviews, take offense and help them with their wish to be able to go back home by never giving them another role. The reason I am saying this here is because Nick Lea said in an interview that Billy Zane beat him out for the role of Cal in Titanic. Bull!!!! Nick never had a chance at that role. It was offered to Matthew McConnahay(sp?)first, he turned it down and Billy got the role. Nick may have auditioned, but there is no way that no talent ass would have ever stood a chance next to Billy. Anyway, I don't mean to offend anyone, I have nothing against Canadians, but I can't stand these two jerks.
Guys, forgive me, but I am mad!!!!
