Bending down, he grabs her lower regions with his other hand - and, in one swift motion, presses her overhead!] [As Meg struggles, DW parades around the ring, his opponent held high overhead. Spotting the newly-risen Keith Edwards in front of him, however, the big man stops in his tracks.] MASTERS: Edwards is up ... what's going on here? [The two men share a look, and a silent understanding passes between them. Edwards drops down onto one knee, the other one extended in front of him ... and Direwolf DROPS Megaera onto the extended knee of Edwards!] CROWLEY: Two-man backbreaker!!! That's gotta be DEVASTATING to the rookie's chances! [Indeed, Meg is flopping around on the canvas like a fish out of water, grasping at the small of her back. Edwards smirks, raising his hand to DW for a high-five ... but overestimates the big man's goodwill, and catches a big boot to the midsection!] [As Edwards doubles over, Direwolf steps forward and jams Keith's head between his hairy knees ... wraps his arms around the other man's waist ... and lifts him up for a powerbomb! Turning, with Edwards suspended up high, Direwolf drops him .. right onto Megaera!!] MASTERS: Wow! HUGE powerbomb there ...and both Edwards and Megaera suffered the impact of that one! Both are down ... and DIREWOLF COVERS THEM BOTH!!! [Jaime McNulty's down, and after a moment's hesitation as he notes that both Megaera's and Edwards' shoulders are on the mat, starts to count the double pinfall.] [ONE!] MASTERS: All he needs is one pinfall to win the match and claim the number one contendership! [Direwolf's head bobs up and down as McNulty makes the count ...] [TWO!!] [Unwilling to allow Direwolf to beat him, Keith Edwards shoots his right arm up, lifting his shoulder from the mat and, at the same time, rolling the Alpha Male further onto Megaera!] [Edwards' ability to break up his part of the pinfall causes McNulty to pause briefly, before bringing his hand down again ...] [....] [THREEENOOOOO!!! Megaera's unable to escape from beneath the massive bulk of Direwolf, but is savvy enough to throw her right leg across the bottom ring rope just before the three-count hits the canvas. McNulty's up quickly, waving off the pin as Direwolf slaps the mat in disgust.] [The three competitors disentangle themselves, and each of them climb slowly to their feet. Eyeing each other warily, no one seems to be willing to make the first move. It's Edwards who takes the initiative, however ... as he gesticulates towards Megaera.] MASTERS: What's he doing? CROWLEY: I think he's suggesting an alliance. Smart move, if he is - it's a lot easier to take down the Alpha Male if it's a two-on-one situation. The question is: will Megaera go for it? [The answer, apparently, is 'yes', as Edwards and Meg exchange nods ... and circle out of their corners, both of them turning their attention to Direwolf.] [Incredibly, the Alpha Male's response is a sneer, and a 'bring it on' cocking of the finger. He needn't ask twice, as Megaera and Edwards charge in unison. Megaera goes high with a cross body-block ... but is unable to take the big man down as he catches her in the air! Edwards, however, goes low ... and is successful in clipping the side of the former champion's legs! As a result of the clipping, and the momentum carried by Megaera, Direwolf topples over backwards with Meg on top of him! An impromptu pin ... but Direwolf kicks out before Jaime McNulty can even count the 'one'.] [The pin, while little more than an annoyance to the Alpha Male, is nonetheless enough to give Keith Edwards time to clamber to his feet and hop up onto the second ropes in the nearest corner. As a result, when Direwolf rises to his feet, Edwards is able to leap off the ropes ... catching the Alpha Male with a flipover neckbreaker!] MASTERS: Just as quickly as he gets up, Direwolf's back down ... and Megaera's about to take her turn at him! [Direwolf's dazed, and offers little resistance as the vengeful Fury crosses the ring and, grabbing dual handfuls of back hair, pulls the big man up to his unsteady feet. Locking in a front facelock, she swings the hirsute Scrantonian back and forth ... and executes a swinging neckbreaker!] CROWLEY: It's duelling neckbreakers, here! Edwards and Megaera - working together to take down the Alpha Male! [Indeed, Edwards simply stood back as Megaera applied the move. Nodding appreciately, he gives her a 'golf-clap' for her efforts, before motioning as if to 'shoo' her away from the fallen Direwolf.] [Megaera balls her fists momentarily ... but instead, performs a mock curtsey as she backs away, motioning for Edwards to take 'his turn'. Meanwhile, Direwolf's on the mat, holding his massive neck.] [Edwards leans over, and pulls Direwolf up to his feet once again - the big man's legs are like rubber underneath him - and, grabbing a wrist, Irish whips him across the ring, into a corner!] MASTERS: Megaera and Keith Edwards working together here against the brute force of Direwolf. Now, the two confer ... and Edwards grabs Meg by the wrist, whipping her towards Direwolf ... no! She reverses him - it looks like they planned this - and she sends Edwards hurtling towards Direwolf, slumped in the corner ... SPEAR!! SPEAR BY EDWARDS! ... and here comes Megaera!! [Edwards drills his shoulder into Direwolf's midsection, driving him further into the turnbuckles, before dropping down and rolling out of the way as Megaera follows him in ... and, jumping up to the second rope, executes a monkey flip! Direwolf is hurtled into the middle of the ring ... and Megaera dives onto him for the cover!] [McNulty slides in for the pinfall, as Meg hooks a leg!] [ONE!] CROWLEY: Direwolf's taken a lot of punishment! This could do it! [TWO!] MACE: Look out! [THR-NO! Edwards grabs Megaera's ankles, and pulls her off of the Alpha Male, breaking the pinfall!] MASTERS: Uh oh ... I think the impromptu partnership may have just run its course! [Scrambling up to her feet, Megaera turns to confront Edwards ... but catches a closed fist to the chops for her trouble!] MACE: BOOOOO!!!! You just hit a woman, Keith Edwards! You're the King of Pooeysylvania!

[Both competitors rise to their feet ... and it's Megaera who attacks first! Charging forward, she takes two long strides before jumping, knee-first ... and is swatted away by the bigger, stronger Direwolf! Megaera hits the mat awkwardly just as Keith Edwards, rubbing his temple, starts to climb to his feet behind the Alpha Male.]
