Posted by NPW on 9/23/2003, 12:45 am 'DR. CLEAN' BOB MASTERS: LIVE FROM THE BEAUTIFUL SADDLEDOME IN CALGARY, ALBERTA CANADA, NATIONAL PRO WRESTLING IS ON THE AIR! AND TONIGHT, AS WE'RE SET TO CROWN ONCE AND FOR ALL A NUMBER ONE CONTENDER TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP HELD BY JAIME "THE GIFT" McNULTY, ENN PEE DUB IS ABOUT TO TEAR DOWN THE HOUSE! THIS IS NATIONAL PRO WRESTLING -- AND THIS! IS! FIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRREFIGHT! [As our cameras swing towards ringside, they fade in on the announce position - and we find "Dr. Clean" Bob Masters in a tan coat and maple-leaf-adorned tie, Ken "Crowbar" Crowley in his pull-down hat and sunglasses, and wrapped in a Calgary Flames jersey, and Ariel Mace, in a tight-fitting red dress and black boots. Her fingers waggling, she waves happily at the camera.] MASTERS: Hello everyone, and welcome to "Sunday Night Firefight"! I'm "Dr. Clean" Bob Masters, joined as always by my broadcast colleagues - 'The Master of Disaster', Ken "Crowbar" Crowley, and the lovely and talented Ariel Mace! And Kenny, what a show we've got lined up tonight - as we crown a number-one contender to the NPW title, and watch Danny Vicious, E-Normus Norman and "The Rock Machine" attempt to defend their respective championships! KEN "CROWBAR" CROWLEY: OH GOOD DAY EH, BOBB-O! IT'S A NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS! And we're back on North American soil - even if it *is* Canada. We've got Megaera, Dee-Dubya and "The Corrupt One" battling it out for a shot at pure greatness later tonight, with the NPW champion as the referee in that one, to boot -- and did you just see what I just saw? TJ Killingbeck's got himself a new manager, in Jimy "One-M" Holiday, baby! Turner and Killingbeck, together at last! ARIEL MACE : HUH? What show were you watching? Killingbeck hates Mr. Turner, for what he did to the Hit People With Chairs Until They Bleed title... or whatever it's called, I forget. He still wants that nice Thomas Turner in the worst way! CROWLEY : Has history taught you nothing, dumbass? Hasn't it taught you that the Untouchables are always running a scam? Think Tank Turner just joined Timmy Fantastico, Calvin Astroth and TJ Killingbeck in the UTs! This is a historic occassion! MASTERS : Uhh.... fans, we apologize for Ken here. As many of you know, he's in complete denial about the breakup of the Untouchables months ago, and -- CROWLEY [shouting] : INFIDEL! The reign of the Untouchables will last a thousand years!! MASTERS : Yes, fine, whatever you say. Honestly.... fans, we're looking at a great show ahead tonight, and there's so much on the line! We've mentioned that Direwolf, Megaera "The Fury" and "Corrupt" Keith Edwards will be battling one another for a shot at Jaime McNulty's NPW championship, and that "The Gift" himself will be refereeing that match! Kenny, what's your expert take on this match? CROWLEY : Let me explain something to you, Bobbo : this is a dream match. You've got McNulty, the champ, stuck in the center between three of the hottest stars in the Dub - one his own partner, one the man who actually trained him, and one who's tearing up the ranks in an attempt to grab the top prize in shorter time than anyone else has ever dreamed. Direwolf : he's the mac daddy of NPW, and that's because he's a three hundred pound monster with the urge to destroy what he sees as inferior. Hes the only one of the three competitors who really sees what's at stake here - and that's the future of this company. Here's a guy who hated Jack Mace for so long, and who still does, but who actually gave up some respect to him for pushing with the pure out-and-out wrestling that Jack originally made NPW all about. He's got loyalty, and he's not about to allow Angie bishop to turn what he sees as HIS company into a sideshow. That being said, he's not gonna let Meg and Keith walk over him, either, because he knows as champion he can help guide this company to what he thinks it should be! ARIEL : So you're picking Direwolf? CROWLEY : Actually, no, I'm not! Even if he wins tonight - which I can't see Bishop letting happen, nor Jaime - the next pay-per-view is "The Commissioner's Invitational", and you've gotta be invited. Direwolf, going for a title shot there? Not a chance, if Bishop has any say! Jaime's also got some Wrecking Crew pride with Edwards... and speaking of Edwards, here's a man who's got three things going for him. One : ability. He's amazing in the ring, and no one can say he ain't. Two : desire. He's been a regional champion in the CAL before, and he wants that top strap more than anything. And three? Frustration. Edwards has never won the big dance - and that's because he hasn't been given the opportunity to win the big dance since way back when he lost to Timmy Fantastico a couple of years ago. There was no damned shame in that, lemme tell you, but since that time, nobody anywhere before Bishop saw the real potential of the man that might really be the best active wrestler in the world today. He's seen the Direwolfs and Astroth's go over, and he wants inside that coveted circle at the top. He's frustrated - and a frustrated Edwards means that someone is going to pay. ARIEL : So your an Edwards man, then. CROWLEY : What, are you kidding me? McNulty's not gonna let him win this thing! Listen, Air - "Wrecking Crew Pride" means that they styick together in thick and thin... unless Edwards wants the NPW strap. Once you put the greatest independent wrestling prize in the world in the picture, that brotherhood crap goes right out the window. That's my guess, anyhow, because that's what I'd do. McNulty's got a former mentor he wants no part infacing, and he's got a partner he doesn't want to destroy the team for. That leaves Megaera... and Megaera who looks like the underdog here physically is in actuality your front-runner. Mcnulty's got no beef with her, and she's free and clear to get in there and scrap it up. Is there anyone faster in this company? I've gotta think if she and Louie Z had a footrace, Louie might have to give up his title as the fastest wrestler in the Dub. The 720 is insane, and she's shown not only the moves and discipline needed to get here tonight in record-time, she's also shown the desire to show the world that perhaps the most talented young wrestler on the planet can beat down the legendary "Alpha Male" and kick in the teeh of "The Golden Man". ARIEL : Fine! So you've picked Megaera! CROWLEY : Over my man Direwolf? Are you NUTS?? ARIEL : ARRRRRRRRRGHHHHHH! But you just said -- CROWLEY : Don't try to analyze me! I am un-analyzeable! I can't pick anyone here, because this thing is crazy! You wann push me to a wall? Fine, then gimme Dee Dubya, because history shows he's the king, baby. But if Megaera or Edwards come out of this one, and stare McNulty in the face when it's over? Don't colour me shocked, because anything is possible. MASTERS : An excellent analysis, chum o' mine, and that's just one of the matches we have tonight! But right now, we've got a special broadcast of the World Pain Network - as E-Normus Norman battles Dominic Demonstone outside this building for the WPN Extreme championship! Joseph Rose is standing by outside the arena as special referee forWPN tonight, so let's head outside right now!

[As we snap into the scene, pyro explodes across the arena and the NPW cameras swing across the crowd within. With large NPW banners hanging from the ceiling and clouds of smoke now rising upwards before the "NationalTron", we pass the "High Excitement" Ric Owens banner hanging from the ceiling rafters above the ring, intermingled with the Canadian flag. 'The Voice of NPW', "Dr. Clean" Bob Masters, shouts over the excited crowd :]
