Posted by Northern Pro Wrestling on 10/20/2002, 12:49 am RIC OWENS : Alright - "November Pain" in two weeks, everybody... OWENS : ... and that's a good thing, because it's not only got great memories for me, but it's also our biggest pay-per-view after "The Stand". More importantly, it's where I've decided that the battle for NPW domination will end.. because we in NPW solve our problems out here in the ring, and this time, we're going to do it "old school". OWENS : At this time, then - we all know the players. Jack Mace, the promoter of NPW.. Angelina Bishop, the promoter of BWW, fronting her team for an unknown owner... Regan Mace, NPW's Executive Vice-President... and The Untouchables, also fronting an unknown person or group for NPW control. Now, these things have been established by me in recent days : each of these teams have produced documentation proving they do indeed have shares in this company. And just so there's absolutely no confusion, let me make something very clear. OWENS : The battle for NPW will be for the Presidency of NPW - and controlling over ALL of the NPW shares. Any person who wishes to front a team for this fight will be understanding that if there team loses, they will sell every last one of their shares to the winner. And, they will understand that the winning team's backer will receive 100& of all of NPW shares held by the company. So : if Jack Mace loses this war, he's no longer an owner of this company... if Regan loses, neither is she. If Big West is not victorious, Angelina Bishop will have to sell her shares to the winner, and depart with her company back to Vancouver - and if the Untouchables fail to win, they will be giving up their backer's 1% as well. Make no mistake : the winner gets total ownership of all NPW shares, and therefore the ability to fire and hire the President, Vice-President, Commissioner, announcers, and everyone else.. including the wrestlers - Oh, and one more thing. [Owens smiles.] OWENS : We're doing this in a "Match Beyond", and ALL the titles we can get are going to be on the line . MASTERS : Oh, dear.. it's all going to come down to ONE NIGHT! ONE FIGHT! ONE BIG PLAY FOR THE FINISH! CROWLEY : An overtime, hail Mary play to the endzone, baby!!! OWENS [as the crowd dies down] : Right - here's how we do things, gang. Four teams - Untouchables, Jack Mace's NPW, Regan Mace, and Angie Bishop's BWW. Four way "Match Beyond".. with four wrestlers on each team. And that means that each team's backer is going to have to come out here and -- [The arena lights go down inside the Moose Jaw Civic Centre as multicoloured spolights begin to dance around the stage. Across the screen, the words THE UNTOUCHABLES appears in bold writing over the grinning faces of Calvin Astroth, Timmy Fantastico and TJ Killingbeck as they look collectively down into the camera. The unlikely Beastie Boys "Paul Revere - Untouchables Remix" begins to play over the sound system... apparently sung by the Untouchables themselves.] (VOICE OF TIMMY FANTASTICO :) #Now 'ere's a little story I's got to tell OWENS : CUT THE MUSIC!! [The music dies rapidly, leaving the three on the stag to be booed by the fans, and leaving Owens to be cheered. Ric speaks over the crowd.] OWENS : Cal, Tee, Timmy - no great disrespect intended, but you're not the CAL World Tag Team champions anymore, and I for one could live without having to hear that entire song anymore. Honestly... long songs like that only inspire my friend Danny to longer introductions! KILLINGBECK [on the stick, as the three come ringside] : Sorry, Ricky - we were just in the back, when we could've sworn you said there were going to be four teams.. of four men. OWENS [standing straight and unafraid as they enter the ring slowly] : That's what I said, TJ. Unless Crowley over there is going to lace up the boots and rejoin the team, or if Brock Slater's available on a weekend release program, you're going to have to find a fourth. CROWLEY : Hmmmmmmm...... KILLINGBECK : Well, what makes you think that we can't win with three guys, Ric? Buffering...

[We return following a video package for "November Pain" that features clips of last year's "Match Beyond", including the crowning of "High Excitement" Ric Owens as the NPW champion - the NPW champion that would lead NPW into the Coalition it would come to dominate. It's fitting, then, that at the end of the package, Ric Owens himself - now the Commissioner of NPW - is standing in the center of the ring. And it's also fitting that the fans in the Moose Jaw Civic Center, having also just watched it, are also cheering. Ric smiles grimly before raising a mic to his lips, now dressed in his street clothes but still wearing the remnants of his face paint.]
