NPW Presents the Commissioner's Invitational - Direwolf vs. Astroth - Part VI

Direwolf’s incensed – it’s like he’s trying to kill the cockroach that JUST!WON’T! DIE! Pulling Astroth up, he flings him across the ring, into the opposite ropes clothesline – missed! Astroth hits the opposite ropes and comes back with surprise, surprise an axehandle, square into the massive, heaving chest of the NPW champ MASTERS: “No sale!! That move had no effect on the champ!” Astroth looks up, and realizes that he’s in serious, serious trouble. Stepping up, he throws all of the power he can muster into a wicked chop across the chest of Direwolf. CROWLEY: “And the Alpha Male isn’t affected he’s just SMIRKING AT ASTROTH!!!” Calvin’s used up his entire repetoire of moves – at least, as many as he knows without prompting from Killingbeck - without any success!!! Grabbing a wrist, Direwolf backs Calvin up into the ropes, and slingshots him out with another Irish Whip REVERSED by Astroth! Direwolf into the opposite ropes, fury in his eyes, as he comes charging back out and hits the ALPHA MALE MARKING HIS TERRITORY running headbutt square into the forehead of Fred Billington, who got pulled into the tracks by a desperate Calvin Astroth! Billington’s down and out!!! CROWLEY: “Another ref is out!” Direwolf’s stunned from the impact and turns towards Astroth who jams his fingers into Direwolf’s mouth!! MASTERS: “MANDIBLE CLAW!! You don’t think ” Indeed – Astroth flips Direwolf’s arm over his places his free hand on the champ’s back and lifts him up for an ALPHA MALE CHOKESLAM . . Direwolf’s kicking madly, trying to escape and does!! Astroth can’t manage his girth and DW RETURNS THE FAVOR, jamming his fingers into Calvin’s mouth lifting him up and [SLAMMM!!!!] MASTERS: “ALPHA MALE CHOKE SLAM!!! Direwolf with the pin, hooking the leg!! But there’s no one to count hold on!!’ A referee slides into the ring behind Direwolf and starts to count the pin ONE!! . The crowd holds its collective breath .. TWO!!!!! .. CROWLEY: “I can’t see who just the striped shirt which ref is in?” .. [CLANGGGG!!!] MASTERS: “MY GOD!! That’s that’s ” CROWLEY: “TIMMY FANTASTICO and he just drilled an unsuspecting DIREWOLF IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH HIS STEEL PIPE!!” ARIEL: “Didn’t Comissioner Owens sanction Timmy as a referee earlier this evening??” MASTERS/CROWLEY: “ ” It takes a moment to settle in. CROWLEY/MASTERS: “OH GOOD GAWD!!!” With both Astroth and Direwolf out in the middle of the ring, Fantastico drapes one of Astroth’s arms over the NPW champ and drops down to count the pin! ONE! . MASTERS: “It can’t end this way!!” . TWO!! The crowd is raining down boos MASTERS: “ it just CAN’T!!!” THREENOOOOOOO!!! Direwolf shrugs off the arm of Astroth. Fantastico, amazed, can’t get the three count down in time! He’s LIVID!!! The CAL World Champ is up on his feet, lifting the near-unconscious Direwolf up with him. Hooking Direwolf in a front headlock, Timmy grabs a handful of tights, looking for the FantasticoPlex blocked!! Direwolf blocked it and heaves Timmy over in a sloppy suplex of his own!! MASTERS: “What heart! What determination shown by Direwolf here!! What –“ [DING!!!!!!] CROWLEY: “What the hell?? Astroth with the ring bell!!! He just clocked Direwolf in the noggin!!” While Direwolf was occupied with Fantastico, Astroth took the opportunity to retrieve the bell and deliver a solid blow. Direwolf crumples to the mat and Astroth, tossing the bell away, falls on top of him but Fantastico’s injured!! MASTERS: “Wait Dan Bash is up slowly, he rolls into the ring he’s looking around and drops to his knees NO, Danny, NO!!” ONE!! . TWO!!!!! . . . THREEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wearily, Bash signals for the bell. WINNER AND NEWWWWWWW NPW CHAMPION CALVIN ‘THE DRAGON’ ASTROTH Bash rolls the unconscious form of Direwolf out of the ring as the Untouchables – including TJ Killingbeck, who managed to avoid getting tossed from the building – charge down to the ring in celebration! The Pimply-Faced Kid, the long-suffering equipment manager of the Untouchables is the first to arrive, and he dashes around the ring to fetch the NPW title. Everyone else – Molly, Millicent, TJ, the RHSC and Timmy (thankfully, the gorilla is absent) clamber into the ring and hoist the semi-conscious Astroth up onto their shoulders. The PFK rolls in and hands the title up to Astroth, who stares at it as if in disbelief then hoists it high above his head to a mixed reaction – the natural boos he normally attracts, but a large contingent of cheering from wrestling fans who understand what this must mean to Astroth. MASTERS: (hoarsely) “Holy Mackinaw, what a night! Ric Owens is the new NPW/BWW Commissioner AND the Western Heritage champion! Ryfka wins the NPW Extreme Title! Danny Vicious brings Julius to NPW! The Loose Cannons, Kracken, the Rock Brothers and Eric Wolf all retain their belts and somehow, some way, Calvin Astroth is your new NPW champion!
