This can be done several ways such as pin 12 on your spoiler control module (under the glovebox). A quicker method and much shorter cable run is to tap off the same red/white wire at either the speedometer or even the HVAC panel next to the head unit. Also, in order to dim the TP's display, run a wire to the ashtray light for dimming. There are TONS of write ups on Rennlist if you search the 993 board for either "TrafficPro" or Traffic Pro."

I did a TP install in my brothers 95 993 and all that was required was an adaptor harness which you mate to the TP harness. Crutchfield sells one of three versions of this harness. Since they're generic to VW/Audi/Porsche, you might find that switched and constant 12V are reversed but all pins should be checked with a gauge anyway. Easily job though.
