The CRD-23 requires a CAN-BUS signal for ignition and illumination controll. The 2002 is not a CAN-BUS unit. The CDR-23 will not work properley. The CRD-23 does not have a user input unlock code, it has a protect mode. If the unit is installed in an application that does not match the VIN # of the previous install, a Porsche dealer of Harman Becker service will have to recode it through the MOST-BUS system....no available in 2002
