Nancy, are you sure the bottle is made in Greek? I visited the Island of Corsica many years ago and know a region by the name of Soveria. I am not familiar with the product you named and there seems to be no hits on the Internet, but in any case, if it is not produced in the french region of Cognac than it must be a brandy by legal definition.
