As for oxidation occurring, I wouldn't think the whisky was "spoiled" unless the cork had fully disintegrated and was sitting at the bottom of the bottle. Even so, I'd probably just decant the bottle and hope for the best. -smile- The new owner will want to open that Final Edition with care when it arrives or forever worry about the cork. -grin- What are your thoughts?

Hey Kurt: Long time, no see. I'd think a minimal amount of seepage simply tells us someone's been storing the whisky bottle like a bottle of wine - A "No-No" by our rules. IF I'd bought the bottle, I'd either loosen or remove the metal cap and check the cork, hoping it's not soften or damaged.
