The date usually reflects the date the bottle was filled and not an ageing date. I don’t know the number of blends in Extra Vieille but assume between 40-60 with the oldest about 40-50 years old. I don’t know the value of you bottle, but I have seen them as high as $500. Hope this helps.
All Cognac's are blends of many other Cognac's. That is a bottle might contain from 20 to 50 different Cognac’s that are blended together. Prior to blending they may have been individually aged for 4 to 50 and even more years. Once blended some Cognac’s are aged a little more while others are made available for sale.
