I just found message board..I am so much older than everyone! Lived in Bayside 1939 thru 1962 when I married. My parents lived there from 1926 until 1980's. Before OLBS was built, they went to mass on 32nd ave. in a bar. We have pics of groundbreaking ceremony for Bayside HS, which I sent to the school for their recent anniv. yearbook. Always went sleigh riding on dead man's hill and ice skating on 35 ave. & 204th st. in pond (before apmts built.) Grew up on 204 between 33 & 34 aves. We knew everyone, and had a super childhood there. But, it is true what they say, you can't go home again!!!!
