Posted by TeamUSA Football TeamUSA Football has accepted the challenge of the Graz Giants of the Austrian Football League to play on June 5, 2005 in Graz Austria. Graz is located about a 4 hour drive south of Vienna. This is the second meeting between the two teams with the Giants winning the first meeting by a score of 49 – 22 in June 2003. The team will depart the United States on May 30 and will practice two times per day leading up to the game. TeamUSA Football has assembled an excellent group of coaches as well as a support staff including two trainers. This is the 5th trip overseas for TeamUSA and 6th game overall. The team is 4 – 1 and has outscored its opponents 178 – 72. The Graz Giants are one of the best teams in Europe and competes each year for the Austrian Football League National Championship. Historically the team has earned a total of 9 Austrian League Championships. They defeated the Danube Dragons by a score of 35-14 two weeks ago and play the powerful Vienna Vikings next on April 16. TeamUSA Football is looking for excellent athletes at several positions as well as additional coaches.
