CA Plus is pleased to announce a series of employment training workshops specifically designed to assist voluntary sector organisations who employ staff. Workshops have been chosen to impart, “Best Practice” and information in a number of key areas of employment/ personnel development, relevant to the needs of Voluntary Sector groups and to up-date organisations with ever changing aspects of Employment Law.
The Trainer: Workshops will be run by Andrew Monroe, the Employment Advice Manager at CA Plus.
Who will benefit? EMPLOYERS: i.e. Trustees, Members of Management Committees, Board Members, Directors, CEO’s & Senior Staff.

Are you about to employ your first employee?
A Whistle-Stop introduction to the essentials of employment law for new employers. E.g. recruitment, contracts of employment, PAYE and deductions, paid holidays, sick pay, notice periods and pensions.

(10 -- 12.30 pm) How to Handle Discipline and Grievance
Legislation that concerns the minimum procedures that employers MUST follow during disciplinary or grievance meetings changed significantly in April 2009. Employers must follow a new ACAS Code of Practice or risk unfair dismissal claims and/or extra compensation of up to 25%.
