NYAS need volunteer 'Independent Visitors' for children in care who would like a long-term befriender to visit them about once a month. We would like to recruit volunteers who are interested in the welfare of children and young people and who are willing to engage in recreational activities from a walk in the park to a day trip of the child's choice. Male volunteers are particularly in demand but females are always welcome to apply.
