The Criminal Justice System has established a new grants scheme for community groups.
‘Community Cashback’ is a new scheme in England and Wales which gives local people a say in how £4 million of recovered criminal assets (for example confiscated cash or property) should be spent in their communities.
The scheme is open to applications for community projects that address issues relating to nuisance, anti social behaviour or criminal activity in the local area.
There do not appear to be any restrictions that relate to the type of organisation that can apply. Deadlines for applications vary by county, but some are within the next month.
Please see the Criminal Justice website for more details: http://cashback.cjsonline.gov
