Macmillan Cancer Information and Awareness Service
This service is targeted towards disadvantaged communities and hard to reach groups across Bassetlaw to promote a greater understanding and awareness of cancer prevention.
The aim is to improve the access to cancer information and equity of services across Doncaster and Bassetlaw.
The service works closely with PCT colleagues, the statutory and private sector, prisons, community groups, and the general public.
Appropriate presentations and workshops are delivered in a variety of settings in the community including workplaces, education, etc including drama mime and poetry to promote the key messages and dispel myths around cancer.
