Chair Based Exercise Training
Newark and Sherwood District Council will be running another Chair Based Exercise Course on the following dates;
Monday October 12th, 19th & 26th
Assessment November 2nd
9.00am-5.00pm on each day.
Venue – Kelham Hall, Kelham, Newark, Notts. NG23 5QX.
The cost of the course is £400 per place, but we are willing to pay for volunteers who intend to teach a class in the community on a regular basis. For more information on what the course involves you can view the providers’ website at http://www.laterlifetraining.co.uk/ChairLeaders.html
If you are interested in completing this course and are able to attend on all 4 days please get in touch and I will give you more information on what’s involved. If you already have a fitness or exercise qualification you only need to attend days 1 and 4.
The qualification is lifelong and teaches prescriptive exercises to frail older people, in order to help them maintain independence and quality of life. If you require help with transport we may be able to assist you.
