I wanted to let you know about some of the services Community Matters is able to offer that you, or organisations you know, may find useful.
Community Matters supports community based organisations across England particularly on the management of community buildings covering areas such as governance, licensing, lease negotiations, asset transfer, staff and volunteer management and funding.
We are funded by the government and the Big Lottery Fund so some of our services are free or very low cost such as;
- Community Matters free advice line, Monday to Friday 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 0845 847 4253
Membership starts at just £21 a year and this entitles you to, free of charge;
- Information sheets and ‘how to’ guides, available free to download from our website www.communitymatters.org.uk or by telephoning the advice line as above.
- Legal advice through our partners at LawWorks
- Reduced cost insurance
- One day of one to one consultancy with one of our experienced consultants
- Reduced rates for our annual conference and publications
- Our bi-monthly magazine Community to keep you up to date on all the latest national and regional developments
- Support from your Regional Coordinator
- Join your voice with others to influence decision makers and funders
By joining Community Matters you will also become part of the Community Alliance and be able to access some services and support from our partners, the DTA and bassac.
The Community Matters annual conference is in Leicester, 18th & 19th September 2009.
Please do get in touch if I can help you in any way
Best wishes
