Landmarks is an independent specialist day college for adult learners who have learning difficulties and disabilities. Landmarks is situated on the outskirts of Worksop, and operates from sites within the locality including two working farms. We offer our learners a practical land and craft based curriculum.
Full-time Animal Care Tutor (both large and small animals) to work with young people and adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. Five days per week 37 hours per week. September, 2009 start.
Salary range: £18863.00 per annum for a qualified and experienced tutor.
We are seeking an Animal Care Tutor to deliver high quality animal care tuition. You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and well organised. Experience of working outdoors with people with learning difficulties and disabilities is essential. An innovative approach, good communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of learners and support staff is desirable. The ability to work as part of a team is a key feature of our Landmarks ethos. Record keeping in order to record learner progression, is a vital part of the role.
You will need to be registered with the Institute for Learning. Minimum qualification required – a Level 3 Specialist Diploma and qualified tutor status. Certificate in Education would be an advantage.
