Trainee to the Trust Board
If you have gained senior level expertise in the private, public or voluntary sectors, Bassetlaw Primary Care Trust (PCT) is offering an opportunity for you to develop your skills so that you can apply for future non-executive directors posts in the NHS. We are seeking two candidates who can commit to approximately 1½ days each month, for a period of 18 months on a voluntary basis. Reasonable expenses will be paid
Senior level experience is desirable and you will need to demonstrate that you are willing to develop a range of competencies required to contribute effectively at board level including strategic thinking, team working and excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the area served by Bassetlaw PCT or have strong connections with the area.
To give people an opportunity to come and find out what is involved we are holding informal open evenings on the dates below. The Chairman, a Senior Executive of Bassetlaw Primary Care Trust and existing Non-executive Directors, will attend each evening.
13th May 2009, 7.00 8.30pm in the Collinson Boardroom at Retford Hospital, North Road Retford, DN22 7XF
26th May 2009, 7.00 8.30pm in the Sherwood Room, The Crossing Church & Centre, Newcastle Street, Worksop S80 2AT.

Bassetlaw PCT was formed in April 2001 and serves a registered population of around 108,000. It promotes partnership working in the locality to develop good quality health services for the local population. The PCT provides community healthcare services, commissions hospital and mental health services, and seeks to improve the health of the local population. It works in collaboration with primary care (GPs, Dentists, Opticians and Pharmacies).
