Pete, i feel that there is far to much put onto your shoulders at the club. You the club and it's fans would be better served if there were more people each doing there own designated things for and at the club. Why isn't there a PR and marketing brief at the club? This surely is a no brainer as we constantly see our club shoot itself in the foot time and time again. Link that up with the commercial side and things could really take off and it would not even require a budget for heavens sake, just someone savvy enough to spot a good opportunity when it raises it's coy little head. The lead time at the club from an idea being raised to it's inception can take an inordinate amount of time - this needs to be slashed and the only way that this can be done is to have a person at the club with a remit and within that is allowed pursue avenues quickly that at the moment take an age and thus many opportunities are wasted. You are the public face of Bash whether you realise it or not and you cannot be expected to cover every angle at the club whilst others are seemingly invisible, it's not fair to any party involved with our club that such a situation should be allowed to continue. This is the twenty first century and in the world of the media and photo op being run as a gentlemens club circa 1896 is doing nobody any favours. Wheres our commercial manager? It should not fall to you to defend our very own stealth tax. Have we a shirt sponsor for next season even? Have we managed to gain any new sponsors? Any new schemes being introduced this term regarding any media link ups, crowd boosting ideas? Have we a new strip without out that embarrasing "Stags" motif on the collar for goodness sake. Any of these things should not fall into the official secrets act and would act as good news to relay to any other potential sponsors and the clubs long suffering fans.
