We've already had people from other clubs sign up to the new board, so I don't think it'll be as much of a problem as you make out. You could at least give the new board a try - we've even got a separate forum for the prediction league etc, and matchday updates etc. Plus an off topic section for things like the word association threads. We need to give the new board a few weeks to settle down so everyone is signed up and posting, then I really don't see it causing a problem.
