Will the Totton game be the Dave Jose Cup? And did Beastly pull out of their date against us? Head and shoulders above last years warm-up and some games in there that should prove to be a decent test for all of our new signings........ I was looking forward to the Wimborne game but as it is now on a saturday rather than the Friday i'll still get to keep my long held Cuthbury Cherry!!! The only home game that holds no appeal to me is the Maidstone one after last years borefest with them and if all the others (apart from the Salisbury date) are sensibly priced we should get a few in for them i.e Totton and Aylesbury games 5 or 6 quid a head max and throw open the gates to any local organisation involving kids and good causes etc - Scouts, Cubs, Charities, St. Johns etc it should give us a real kick going into the season if we are lucky enough to start at home. Offer those same organisations reduced entry for the first league game if they attend the Maidstone game and that could see us have a real lift in crowds for the coming season. I'd also like to see us link up with as many local pubs as possible pre-season as well as there lies a very good source of income from sponsorship and potential crowd boosting possibilities if we push Bash out to them. If we only had twenty pubs putting up our posters weekly it could have a real positive effect for us. ...the Poole game, do we have to wear blazers and caps to gain entry down there?
