Phil, I agree with your overall assessment of the game. It was a 4-1 game however much we'd like to think otherwise. We did have a 20 minute spell in the second half when TB lost their composure (and discipline) and we threatened to get something (undeserved) out of the game. But they looked like scoring every time they attacked because they're a very good footballing side. I hope they go up because we'd need to spend a lot of money to match them over a 42 game campaign although I'm not sure whether they retain all their players when they leave school.
Must take issue with you on individual assessments. Maybe I shouldn't comment as I don't see Bash week in and week out. But Moss seems to be the most improved player as far as I can see - although he did start from a pretty low base. Archbold as I recall was brought in to cover when we lost the whole of our central defence to injury. He played more midfield on Tuesday and he certainly wasn't as bad as you make out - at least he got stuck in and didn't deserve to be replaced. Once Gilly's speed wasn't going to be available to us, we were always going to have to keep it tight and hope for something on the break. On the night we were well short but it's not the end of the world. As far as TB were concerned I'd take issue with the management rather than the players who, let's face it, like most 20 something year olds are still wet behind the ears. Their aggression particularly when they're under pressure comes from the coaching. If they go up, they'll suffer eventually because other teams will work out their weakness - ill discipline.
