Whilst i agree with much of what you say regarding last nights tactics etc i also feel that maybe the day after such a fantastic season is maybe not the right time for this debate and is probably best left until the dust has settled.
Rather than criticise the players and management for last night we should be congratulating them on achieving what they have done for us this season.
Riles has showed thats he's capable of making the big decisions, Wakefield, the Diamond etc and i for one would trust him to know what is needed next term.
There are some tough choices that he has to make during the close season but does starting an open debate on them at this stage really help his cause?
I for one would like to thank all the players (even the ones that i do not rate), the management, and all of the unsung people behind the scenes and not least the fans who have helped the club move onto an entirely different level to where it was such a short time ago. Now is not the time for an introspective of where it all went wrong but rather should be a case of how do we keep moving forward.
I think that promotion this year would have be a step too soon for us as we need an infrastructure in place behind the scenes in excess of what we have had over the past couple of seasons to see us make such a big step up and be successful at the next level - but we are heading in the right direction of that there is no doubt.
Again i'm not saying what you say is wrong, just the timing.
