Im sorry but no-one is going to convince me that 384 was a correct crowd figure for yesterdays game.On paper that makes it the third highest home crowd of the season and beat the Team Bath game crowd by 14.Well on Tuesday against Bath i found myself struggling to view the whole pitch as the crowd was two deep in front of me.Yesterday i could have put my three piece suite down in the same spot and wouldnt have inconvenienced anybody.The talk in the bar before the game was of how poor the crowd was and that the lads deserved better after Tuesday.During a lull in the match i tried to count the fans and didnt get far over 200 and that included the kids playing behind the goal.It is my belief that the crowd figure was inflated by as much as 150 and i dont understand why? We all enjoyed being part of the atmosphere in the Chippenham, Hemel and Bath games but dont tell me yesterdays crowd was up with them. Someone mentioned to me it might have been done to attract more sponsors,whether that is the case or not,i would like to see the practice stopped immediately as i want to be associated with correct crowd figures.At the end of the day we want to see more punters through the gate,not imagine they are there.
