Hey. I am new to myspace and i dont know much of what goes on in the world. I tend to just live in whatever box im in and i dont try to come out or desire to come out. This may be the same for everyone or not i dont know. But this sheltered life has kept me from realizing how much people these days are into 60s psych and all its fashion and music. Almost every person on myspace looks like a long lost beatle or some other 60s cliche. Now dont get me wrong, i love the 60s. I am practically a lost beatle. If you could see me right now youd be wise to say im a hypocrite! But what blows my mind is people can always imitate the look, but rarely ever can they write a decent song. Youll go on and see tons of "revivalist" 60s psych and mod bands dressed better and looking better than any actual 60s band ever was, yet the music sucks i think. Sounds like how close bush is to being nirvana, these guys are to being the beatles or the bee gees. Chords drawn out of a hat, changes that basically scream "i spend more time on my haircut than on writing songs". How could people be so stuck on something, love it so much, yet miss the point of it all? Dont get me wrong, i like the stuff damien did in Walter Ghouls. I think that music sells itself. But all this other shit sucks. I didnt realize how big the revival bandwagon was until myspace. I think that shit like the Jessica Fletchers is not even near what 60s music should be. Does anyone else hear this shit and want to be sick? Am i just a dickhead out to ruin everyones fun? I cant help but feel like im a jerk for pointing out how lame everyone is but i just love the real thing too much to not be bothered. I think its just safe to say the uglier the dudes in the band, the better the music. I WANT ####ed up haircuts. I WANT giant overbites and wierd teeth. These dumbshiits are ruining it. Please dont get mad at me for pointing this out. Because this is just a passing thought to me, but it is close to my heart because i love real music, and i dont think its in a haircut.
