I saw my first play in the first grade at the Detroit Institute of Arts Theatre....it was a musical about Andrew Jackson called 'Old Hickory' -- and I was transfixed on what was going on on stage...I came home from the field trip and told my mom and dad "That's what I want to do" and I forever shelved my first desire -- to be an astronaut.
