Posted by Her Grace on June 18, 2007, 8:20 am Lots of news and more to come! I am in the final stages of negotiating with S&S over several matters: 1. I am fairly confident that I will be able to get the audio book rights of FD,G returned to me and retain future audio rights. If this works out, my agent will be looking for a company to produce them...unabridged, of course! 2. There will be a Book 4 of FD,G. How we will explain that a trilogy now means four books, I have no idea! 3. S&S would like another 3 book series. Should it be Dy Brougham's story, even if Book 4 of FD,G would preview the end of his story, or should I look elsewhere? 4. What do you think about being part of the progress of the new book(s)? Would you like to read as it is written online, knowing that the last 50+ pages would not appear online (as per S&S contract)and some plot might change in edits, or would you rather wait to read it whole and final? Some answers to questions on the board: 1. No, S&S will not be publishing a hardback of Assembly. I'm just as disappointed as you are!! 2. I will do all I can to make an audio book "happen." If my agent can not find a big name audio book co. to do them, there is an up-and-coming company near where I live that has expressed interest. How is the new book coming? In May, I was able to re-arrange my work schedule to have Fridays off for writing. I've started gathering research and now have a stack of 6 books to skim for background. Michael (my husband and co-creator)has promised to keep me moving and not get bogged down in this prep time. So, I hope that by the end of July I'll be immersed in writing. Want to help? Any ideas, sane or crazy, about any of the characters 3 years after the wedding and post-Waterloo, post here or send privately to pamela_aidan@hotmail.com And, of course, your encouragement is always so very appreciated! --Pamela
