New to the board and a Dy question

    Hi all! I'm a thirty-something mom of a toddler who is new to this board and to Ms. Aidan's fantastic work. What a privilage it has been to savor her trilogy! I heartily recommended it to the librarians at my public library :-)

    I found as I read that I really came to love the orignial characters of Fletcher and especially Dy (the original James Bond of his day?).

    Now, on to the question before the toddler makes me get off-line: What does Dy look like in your views? Care to compare him to any well known celebrities, actors or figures in general? I kept trying to get a mental picture of him in my mind as I read, as we all have of Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen haunts my dreams, but I know a lot of you love Colin).

    Also - how do you all pronounce Dyfed? My Welsh is a little rusty, and I know F is V, but is the Y "ay" as in David? Gets a bit sticky, because then, in his nickname, I say "Die" (Dy) not "Day." Any help out there with the Welsh?

    I cannot wait until we hear more of Dy and Georgiana - what a sweet little subplot that was! Perfect! I hope he gets the girl!
