UK07 Plans and Questions

    Hello my Austenesque friends!

    I've begun narrowing down the itinerary for the UK07 trip, but I need a ballpark number of those who are planning on going. (Important for accommodations, transportation, etc.)

    Also, I need to know what general time frame people desire. Mid-June? End of June? First part of July? Mid-July? Talk to me, people.

    So, those of you somewhat interested to those of you who have scrawled "UK07 or Bust" on your bathroom mirror . . . I need you to email me as soon as possible (preferably by Nov. 3).

    Tentative Itinerary (and VERY basic—we will have time to relax, visit, and shop, I’m just not including all that info right now):
    2-3 days in Chawton/Winchester area
    - visit the Jane Austen House and possibly Chawton House Library
    - visit Winchester Cathedral where JA is buried
    - possible side trip to Brighton

    2-3 days in/near Bath
    - take a guided tour of Bath
    - visit the JA Centre (and have lunch or tea)
    - visit the Assembly Rooms and Costume Museum
    - have tea at the Pump Room
    - side trip to Lacock Village (“Meryton” et.al.)
    - possible side trip to Lyme Regis (Persuasion)
    - possible side trip to Cotswolds and/or Blenheim

    2-3 days in Derbyshire
    - visit Sudbury Hall (Pemberley interiors)
    - visit Lyme Park (Pemberley exteriors, garden, and lake)
    - visit Chatsworth (new Pemberley)
    - possible side trip to Belton House or the Bronte parsonage

    So that is the skeleton itinerary at this point. Please give me feedback!
