I'm guessing that Philmont is the former ranch of the Philips family (Philips Petroleum/Philipps 66)?? I think I remember a little blurb about it when I went to the former Philips mansion here in Tulsa--the Philbrook. I don't know if you've ever had an opportunity to see it, but it is a lovely art museum and also has beautiful gardens. I hope you "survive" your son's experience.
