Now, it looks like I can dump the spent hops in that as well. Just be careful with your dogs. Hops can cause serious health problems with dogs, although mine won't touch the things.

In the early spring homebrew stores will start taking orders for hop rhizomes (a section of the main root of the plant). If you don't have a local homebrew store (many of us probably won't), places like www.northernbrewer.com or http://www.freshops.com/rhizinfo.html will ship rhizomes or dried hops in pellet, plug, or whole leaf form.
