NO, it's not just you dale. Everyone sees Ameraucanas and Easter eggers advertised as Araucanas (usually it's just the easter eggers advertised as these). Or it could be you have seen a standard araucana for sale that has a tail and is clean-faced (no tufts). Four of the five standard araucana pullets I bought this summer have tails, one is rumpless. Any how, when I breed next year, I hope to get more rumpless and double tufted (like my roo) birds. BTW, I am on the east coast so I am not local to you! Sorry!
