Posted by Anne on 8/15/2006, 9:49 am The way it was explained to me, a bird without tufts (unless they're internal or so small they're not noticable) does not carry the tufted gene. So a clean-headed pair will produce only clean-headed offspring, even if both birds of the pair had parents that were tufted. I've come across several e-bay auctions from different sellers that say "Some of my birds are tufted, but all of my flock carry the tufted gene." My question is, is that even possible, or are these sellers mistaken?

Ok, I'm confused.
