If you see one of them misrepresented, you have a legit complaint and should complain. Also, if your fair states that the birds are to be judged by the APA Standard of Perfection, then you have an additional venue to complain, the judge of the fair. In the meantime, if you really want to resolve the problem, join the Araucana club and encourage it to adopt a new unique name for the breed. As a club member, I would support such an effort. The club then can lobby the APA to change the name. This is pretty much the only way to resolve a problem which has plagued the breed since it left South America. Until we do, we Araucana breeders must be content to endlessly and tirelessly distinguish between Araucanas and STANDARD BRED ARAUCANAS.

Andy, if you really have a problem with this, complain to the APA. They are the ones that choose to adopt a name already in use. ARAUCANA described a general CLASS of fowl long before it was used by the APA to describe a standardized breed. A class where some lines are tailed, some with tufts, some with muffs, and some rumpless. Some with black skin and others with feathers on their legs. The tufted rumpless version the APA standardized is not even a true South American form of araucana, it's a composite. A fabrication. THerefore, the masses are right and the APA is wrong.
