Posted by Andy Duplay So here is my question: the other birds (4 pullets and one cockerel) don't seem the least bit aggressive towards the new baby...in fact I think the Araucanas are about the most sociable, civil breed I have ever seen. Since she is still on eggs, I hate to disturb her. How do I introduce food and water to the baby, and not have the adults eat the food...OR...should I remove the baby? I hate to pull him out without any brothers or sisters for company. Mama is still keeping him safe and warm. What to do? Expert advice welcomed!

This morning, I looked in on my Arucanas before I went to work. I knew one of the girls had been sitting on eggs, but after 4 clutches, nothing has ever hatched, so I let her brood. To my surprise, there was a fresh little face sticking out from under her belly, just looking around! He is the cutest little bugger.
