Both my daughter and myself have had a BR. I just had one 2 weeks ago and my daughter was 15 years old and had it 1 year ago. Her healing has taken a long time. Her scars are thick and still red. I just took off my tapes and I just have very thin lines. The healing will be different due to our age. She just had a cortisone shot into her scars to help with the bumpy and redness. It has not worked. In fact, it made the scars very red and widden them. Since she is young, she is very impatient with the healing process.I have suggested to her to just leave them alone and let nature takes its course. She has used mederma/vit E and Strivictin. Good luck. I am going thru it too.
