Posted by Kim I had BR on April 6, 2004. I am now completely healed and am happy with my size. However, the scarring is significant. I an now starting to see them getting smoother and not so purple. I was told by my PS that it may take a few years for scars to fade significantly, but they will always be there. I am using Mederma (a scar reducing cream)...which is about $18.00 a tube(which is small). I have also been told to try cocoa butter. My husband is very supportive and doesn't mind the scars, but I could see the problem if I was dating, but I think that if you find the right person who cares for you and understands the situation you are in, then he will be supportive and understand. In a perfect world we shouldn't be showing our breasts to every man we date anyway. I hope this helps. Kim
