Kristina,
I had no idea that my tissue was dead, I thought I was just horribly burnt. My dog was the one who first let me know of the bad odor. She kept coming up and smelling my chest, then I started smelling it. After my eschar was removed I looked like raw meat. It took 11 weeks for me to close. I now have the thick crusty scab that is very tight. Little bits and pieces are cracking off so I am still changing my dressings daily. I feel that my right breast, the hurt one is larger than my left. Maybe it is still swollen from the trauma.
How are your emotions? As I said I was a real basket case, who was trembling and crying all of the time.
My surgery was on Tuesday, Sept. 23rd.
Please keep in touch and let me know how you are doing.
