I was sick for about the first three hours after I woke up, and then my stomach felt just fine. I ate a HUGE meal that evening and did well after. I didn't have any anti-nausea meds at all.
My mom gets sick after surgery, throws up once, and then feels great.
I guess it's different for everyone.
