I recently purchased a bubblecut Barbie at an auction (I believe she's a 1962) and she was wearing a wedding dress with panties and bra underneath (was also wearing tiny white tricot gloves). The odd thing was that there were no fasteners on the pieces (snaps, buttons), so a seam had to be opened in order to remove the dress and panties (bras had elastic in the back, so there was no need to open a seam). The dress is, I believe, tafetta, square neck and long sleeves. Three rows of lace around the skirt. Bra and panties were lined lace. All pieces are white (they are yellowed now, though). Just wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone. Don't know if these are true Barbie pieces or just "homemade" pieces. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.
