HW, I am so sorry about your mom. It is never easy but I send love and hope that you are able to get through it.
When Michael passed away, my boss's wife gave me a book called Good Grief by Granger E. Westburg (Fortress Press). It explores the interralationship of religion and medicine and explains the steps through the grieving process. I still struggle with the loss of Michael 25 weeks later and I often refer back to this book. I think it is a wonderful thing to help through not just the loss from death, but other things that we lose in life that require a grieving process. I know you are in Australia but I am sure that it can be found there.
Once again, I am so so sorry about you mom.
