Yes, you read that correct. I have cursed all the laundry I have had over the years and with 3 small girls and a husband, it never ends! THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT.
Let me tell you what happened to me the other night. I was downstairs finishing up the dreaded laundry. (I am one of those people that gets it out of the dryer quickly, folds it and after it's in the basket, tends to let it sit for a day or two until something is needed)
For some reason last night, I decided to take up the basket carring my oldest daughters clothes to put away. As I went through the playroom to her room, I saw this gray haze. As I entered her room, IT WAS ON FIRE!!! Yes, FIRE! It was coming out of one of her electic sockets and you could see the flames and the plugged in lamp and CD player cords melting, not to mention the awful smell and smoke. Yes, I panicked but called 911 and the firefighters were there in minutes. We got luckey - turns out some bad wiring was the cause. Normally I would have joined the girls downstairs watching TV but because of the laundry, my house was saved!
I do believe that someone was looking out for us because
1. I was home
2. It was just after dinner and not in the middle of the night.
