Well it finally happened..
I was just told that I am being laid off from the job I have had for 30years
.
My last day is Jan.26,2009.
I work for a bank ( can't say which one..don't want to get in trouble). This was going to happen one way or another. With eveything we do going to digital image and with alot of our other jobs going overseas..it was inevitiable.
I am luckier then most. I get severence for 65 weeks ('till April of 2010!)..still get my employee insurance and all.
I was one of six people that got it. Most of us who got axed had been with the company for a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 30 years.
I knew it was gonna happen...can't say that it still dosen't suck.
Like I said..I am luckier then most..
