It has been three years since Arki and Elle split up, and I would imagine both would have moved on. Although Arki has not been linked with anyone until Uma, the press has romantically linked Elle with several men.
It would be interesting to see if Uma and Arki actually do make it to the altar, her third and his second. They have been dating a year, during which she remained based in U.S., and Arki in London. I wonder if Uma has physical custody of her children, and how it would work out with Ethan Hawke if their children are moved from New York to London now that she is engaged to Arki. Well, good luck to the newly engaged couple and hope they will be happy together.
When Elle was back in Australia at the end of last year for business meetings, she gave a lengthy interview with the Australian edition of Harper's Bazaar magazine. She talked about her expanding business, her family, and her plans.
Towards to end of the interview, when asked about Arki, Elle said that people implied that had they been married, they might not have split up. She said that it was her decision not to marry him, and she did not regret it. She said she has known him for over 15 years, and they had been together 12 years, but their paths were not in the same direction anymore. So, being married would not have prevented the split, which was very amicable.
When asked if she would move back to Australia, she said that since her boys are at school in London and Arki is also based there, she would not deliberately seperate the children from their father.
About Arki and Uma dating, she said she was happy for them, because it was important to her that the father of her children is happy, because it makes for a happy father (along the lines of happy parents, happy children...).
She mentioned climbing Kilimanjaro with friends, and was fresh from holidays with her sons in Bahamas, Mystique,and Aspen. She surfs daily while in Australia, does yoga and meditate.
The overall impression from the interview was that she is very happy, and also thankful for all that she has been blessed with - her good health, a close-knit family, her children and a successfull and expanding business which gives her financial independence. So, yeah, I agree she is in a very good place.
