i do pilates with a teacher, once a week, and i love it. it is like mental and physical therapy all at the same time. sadly, though, i do not have britney's abs ten years ago. i do not even have the abs she had at the mtv video music awards last fall. that is, i have them, but they are not visible. to make them visible i would have to a) do cardio every day and b) make drastic changes to my diet that i am not willing to make.
that said, it has been really good for my posture and overall strength and balance. i can lift heavy things without hurting myself. i can catch myself before i fall when i slip on ice on the way to work. there is definition in my arms, my back, my shoulders, and my legs that was not there before.
