i think harvey weinstein was very influential in getting the stars of his movies - renée zellweger, nicole kidman, gwyneth paltrow - to wear marchesa, early on. and of course getting georgina chapman's name in the press. you occasionally see articles about keren craig, the co-designer/owner of marchesa, but the majority of the press has been about - surprise surprise - the then-girlfriend and now-new-mrs. harvey weinstein. i had to google around because i couldn't remember keren's name, but georgina is everywhere. i think there was an article about designing her own wedding gown in the february vogue, also.
